Matt Janopaul

In his past role as advisor, Matt provided strategic guidance to the company in the areas of fund formation, treasury, and operations as well as providing best practices related to investment processes and the fund organization.

Matt has over 23 years of experience as a senior investment and operating professional focused on private equity, venture capital, recapitalizations, platform consolidations, and growth equity financings. Most recently, Matt served as the Managing Director of Servco Pacific Capital, which is the investment office for the largest private business in the state of Hawaii. He also led strategy and corporate development for Servco’s holding companies, which have interests in the United States, Australia, and Asia. Earlier in his investment career, he served as a General Partner of Weston Presidio, a leading $3.3 billion private equity firm with offices in San Francisco and Boston. As a native of Modesto, Matt also has extensive real estate experience as the majority owner of industrial properties located in the Central Valley that have been family controlled since the late 1950s.

Matt earned his BA in Economics from Duke University and his MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Following his MBA, he was awarded the Kauffman Fellowship by the Kansas City-based Kauffman Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership. In 2007, Matt Joined the Young Presidents' Organization and today is a member of the YPO Gold Pacific Chapter. He currently resides in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he serves as the Board Chair of The Seven Hills Schools, a leading PK-8 independent school.
