Matt Yelland

As Chief Financial Officer at Graceada Partners, Matt Yelland is responsible for the firm’s comprehensive financial functions, including fund and property accounting, audit, treasury, financial planning and analysis, investor reporting, and corporate finance. He oversees all aspects of financial operations across Graceada’s platform, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and alignment with institutional best practices. Mr. Yelland plays a central role in shaping the firm’s financial strategy, risk management framework, and capital structuring while supporting Graceada Partners’ continued growth and success. A thoughtful and humble leader, he brings significant technical expertise and steady, pragmatic judgment to the firm’s leadership team.

Prior to joining Graceada Partners, Mr. Yelland served as Vice President of Finance for John Hancock’s Farmland Services division, where he directed the financial management of a $3 billion pension-backed portfolio invested in U.S. agriculture across 19 states. His responsibilities included portfolio-level reporting, investment analysis, budgeting, treasury oversight, and audit management for one of the nation’s largest institutional agricultural investment programs. With over 25 years of accounting and finance experience, he has held senior leadership roles including CFO and Controller at companies such as Bright Development and Pulte Homes. Throughout his career, Mr. Yelland has managed large-scale financial operations in real estate and development, built and led finance teams, and implemented systems and processes to drive efficiency and financial discipline.

Mr. Yelland earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Accounting from California State University, Stanislaus, and is a licensed real estate agent in the state of California. In addition to his professional responsibilities, Mr. Yelland takes pride in community involvement and philanthropy. He serves as the financial treasurer for the Escalon Lions Club, leads the finance council at his local church, and manages the Graceada Partners Foundation, where he works closely with students and serves as a mentor. In his free time, he enjoys working on his personal car collection and actively supporting several charitable organizations.
